I have found a flat for next year. Today, my future flatmate Lindzie and I signed the lease, and on the 21st we move in! I snapped a few pictures of the place - these can be our ‘before’ pictures.

The gate and door to the flat, with our little garden in front.

Half of the sitting area. There was a meeting going on inside for the entire building, since the roof is getting repaired soon, so I didn't take many pictures of this room.

Ceiling in the sitting room

Lindzie's bedroom window. Awesome mirror, eh?

My bedroom window

My sweet wardrobe. Lindzie's room has the same.

The kitch, which looks a bit like a log cabin. Also, as standard in flats here, there's a washer!
I can’t wait to invade with all of my stuff. It might be a bit stressful, moving so close to exams, but since my lease at my current flat ends two days after my last exam, I’d rather get the stress over with now rather than after.
Also awesome? My friend Amy made me a camera case in, like, 20 minutes flat to prevent me from destroying my recently revived camera again. She has an Etsy shop, you should visit!

An $8 value! Plus S&H.

Thought I’d share a few of my favourite places in Edinburgh, as seen on a very pretty Sunday.

My neighbourhood. I don't live in a flat as nice as these right now - but I will when I move in a few weeks!

Looking across the Bruntsfield Links toward Tollcross area.

Looking the other direction across The Links, toward Morningside. Someday I won't be miserably busy and I can picnic outside too!

Two of the four churchs that make up the 'Holy Corner'

View down Morningside, with the Pentland Hills in the distance.
Sadly I spent most of my time indoors today, studying large animal anatomy, so the short walks between the cafes and my flat were the highlight of my day. I like anatomy, in essence, but it’s an extremely dense subject matter, and it’s near impossible to not feel beaten by it after a full day of studying. My oral exam is on Tuesday, so hopefully I can pull enough smarts together to not sound like a total idiot!
